Submission Information
Conditions of Entry

  1. Entries open to those 18 years or older only.​

  2. All work must be the original or derived work of the exhibitor and work should not have been previously exhibited at the Buninyong Art Prize & Exhibition.​

  3. No AI generated art is to be accepted.

  4. ​No photographs unless part of a mixed medium work.​

  5. Works must be appropriately framed, wired and ready to hang (see FAQ).​

  6. Entries still 'wet' will not be accepted.​

  7. Art must be 2 dimensional and safe (ie no protrusions).​

  8. The Committee of the Buninyong Art Prize reserves the right to not hang any work. Acceptance or refusal will be at the Committee's discretion.​

  9. Exhibit label must show the same details as the entry form.​

  10. Artwork sizes – ONE large artwork must be within 3 metre perimeter (300cm) plus TWO smaller sized artworks OR THREE smaller sized artworks (see size description above). All measurements must include framing.​

  11. The type of category must be indicated on the entry form and the exhibit label. The Committee reserves the right to nominate the type of category should you fail to indicate.​

  12. Artists are to indicate on entry form if they wish their entry to be considered for the Acquisition Prize. This will be in addition to the specific category nominated and no additional entry fee is required.​

  13. Exhibits will be received on Wednesday 8 October 12pm-4pm and Thursday 9 October 9am-1pm - at the Buninyong Town Hall, 309A Learmonth Street, Buninyong.

  14. ​All art show entries must be available for sale and the exhibitor agrees to pay a commission of 20% to the Committee on any works sold.

  15. ​All works shall remain on display for the duration of the Exhibition - ie. until 4pm Sunday 12 October. They MUST be collected after 4pm and before 6pm from the Buninyong Town Hall. If you are not able to make arrangements to collect your artworks, please organise a designated person to do so on your behalf.

  16. ​The decisions of the Judge will be final.

  17. ​The Committee reserves the right to reproduce any exhibit for publicity purposes in all forms of media for the purpose of advertising the Buninyong Art Prize & Exhibition.

  18. ​The Committee will exercise all reasonable care in handling artworks, but will not be responsible or accept any liability for any damage or loss to artworks whilst at the Exhibition. The exhibitor is responsible for any damage to works whilst they are in transit to and from the Exhibition.​

  19. Payment to artists of prize money and sale proceeds will be forwarded as soon as possible after the event and at the latest, within 30 days of the exhibition closing.​​

  20. Selling artists will be contacted for further details regarding payment.
